Secondhand Serenade West Palm Beach Concert reviews
Tampa show at Amalie Arena on Sunday August 18th 2019
It was a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience with more than 20,000 people there; amazing show. Over two hours of Queen music with around 30 songs.
Brian May did an acoustic medley that included Love of my Life, a hologram of Freddie Mercury and thousands of people singing along in a sea of cellphone lights. It was a very special moment.
That was 46 years ago, which makes me feel old! I have only seen Queen perform live once before, in November 1973 at the New Theatre in Oxford. They were the support band for Mott the Hoople and were just about to make it big.
We found this quite upsetting; it wasn鈥檛 just losing the bags it was the thought that someone would do such a thing at an event like that. The only problem we had was that, when we were leaving our seats at the end of the show, we realized that our two VIP bags (containing all the memorabilia) had disappeared, i.e., someone in the seats behind had taken them from under our seats. We didn't let it spoil the experience though; we have our memories for a lifetime.
